"Believe" was the word associated with an amazing family's battle with cancer. Alyse was diagnosed at age 11 and fought cancer for four years.  Her story reached India through Sunny and Mercy.  The lives of our friends in India became intermingled with her family's as stories and prayers for each went back and forth.   What could been seen as a losing battle as Alyse passed away in 2011, was actually an incredible story of faith and determination as countless people came to know Christ in the process.  It seems that everybody who came in contact with this family was touched in some way.  Her funeral was attended by over 900 people, 35 of which were baptized (in their dress clothes) in the lake just feet from the building where the funeral was held. This understanding of Christ, what it looks like to follow Him, how He suffered for us out of love, and this eternal perspective became the foundation that Dare to Believe is built on. 

 

This story is not over.  God has big plans yet to unfold and we continue to inspire, encourage, and support each other to do His will.  We are His hands and feet. Through Him mountains will be moved if we ... Dare to Believe.
